In the first week of February 2020, Melissa Tuytens and Ruben Vanderlinde will visit South Africa for the launch of the research project “Strengthening beginning teachers” professional identity: An exploratory study into the efficiency of an induction model in South Africa”. For this research project, the research group collaborates with The University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, and the Flemish VZW VVOB – Education for Development. In the research project an induction model for beginning teachers will be investigated. The research project is funded by VLIR UOS, which supports projects between Flemish universities and universities in the South.
